Topic 1 — Self-employed or working for an employer? (modèle)

Although working for an employer offers security, I would rather own my own business.

First, being self-employed gives me freedom. I can choose my projects, my working hours and the people I work with. For example, a friend of mine left a bank to open a small web-design agency in Casablanca; she now works on projects she believes in and has hired three employees.

Second, owning a business is a way to create value for others. An entrepreneur creates jobs and can respond quickly to customers' needs. Morocco needs more young entrepreneurs, and programmes that support start-ups show that this path is encouraged.

Of course, there are risks: income is irregular at the beginning and failure is possible. That is why I would first work for a company for a few years to gain experience, savings and a network.

In conclusion, I see employment as a training stage and entrepreneurship as my long-term goal, because it combines independence, responsibility and the satisfaction of building something of my own. (≈ 190 mots)
